Biomimicry is using Nature as a problem solver. It's rightly said Every Challenge has its solution in Nature. Biomimicry is the term coined by Janine Benyus, The term “biomimetics” was coined by American biophysicist and inventor Otto Schmitt; Biomimicry is finding solutions for the challenges inspired by Nature. Biomimicry is a practice that learns from and mimics the strategies found in nature to solve human design challenges, Biomimicry is a practice which provokes observation skills for finding solutions from nature to challenges faced, it provokes to use of nature wisdom to deal with complex problems. Now take an example of an airplane that mimics the process of a flying bird. Biomimicry is the practice of looking to nature for inspiration to solve design problems in a regenerative way.
ATESH have inspired to introduce Biomimicry for challenges and will share more resources on Biomimicry for learners to come up with sustainable solutions from nature.
